We’re giving away prize packs stuffed with books, gift certificates, and all sorts of swag.

Send Me a Sign by Tiffany Schmidt

Mia Moore has spent her entire life looking for signs. A sign that she should get serious with her soccer-captain boyfriend. A sign that she’ll get the grades to make it into an Ivy-league school. A sign that the summer before senior year will be the best one ever.

But when Mia is diagnosed with an aggressive form of leukemia, the only sign she wants to see is that she will survive cancer. That she will get through a summer of intensive chemo and be able to go back to being the girl she’s always been—top student, part of the A-list crowd, and dating Ryan, the hottest guy at school.

And until she’s better—meaning no throwing up, no hospital stays, and definitely no wig—Mia doesn’t want anyone to know she has cancer. She doesn’t want her friends’ pity. And she certainly doesn’t want to start feeling something more than friendship for the one person who does know what she’s going through, her best friend Gyver. But the sicker Mia gets, the more she realizes that not even the clearest signs offer perfect answers, and in order to find out what happens in her life, she will have to find the courage to live it.

  1. It depends on if I’m in the mood for chocolate or fruity candies. Favorite chocolate candies: Hershey’s Special Dark, M&Ms, and Reeses Peanut Butter Cups. Favorite fruity candies: Starbursts, Skittles, and sour gummy worms.

  2. Well, if you poked through the wrappers in my trash can RIGHT THIS VERY MINUTE (listen, I grocery shop on the weekend, and I just moved into a neighborhood full of kids. Couldn’t risk waiting till next weekend to buy the Halloween candy–what if I forgot?) you’d notice my fondness for Almond Joys, KitKats, and Reeses cups. I also miss the fancy chocolate shops I used to live near (Jacques Torres! Teuscher! Yum!) although my wallet does NOT miss them.

  3. LOL, TP a house? Not yet but it’s on my bucket list 😉

LOVE halloween too, and my favorite candy has to be the “Fun size” Crunch bars..[Fun size, just a nicer phrase for “tinier than small”] =D

    Reader <3, Lisseth!

  4. You’ve never TP’ed?!? Maybe we were just mean kids, but my friends and I loved doing that in high school…we also forked people’s yards (sticking plastic forks all over the front yard), admittedly, that one is pretty evil…hehe.

Hmm…my favorite candy, I think I definitely have to go with Butterfingers :0)

  5. Never TPed a house but we did cover our rival High school in in streamers the colors of our school! Kit Kat bars 🙂

  6. Thanks for the giveaway! I can’t wait to read this book, and it’s being publishing in Australia next year! 🙂

I’ve not toilet papered anything…but I have pranked! 😀 We covered all the toilets in cling film on last day of Year 12! It was brilliant! 😀

My fave candy in the US are those Tootsie Pop thingys, the lollipops with chewy stuff in the middle!

  7. Hersey’s chocolate bars are my favorites with peanut butter M&M’s coming in a close second!

  8. Any type of chocolate! snickers, twix, hershey’s…LOVE chocolate! Ooooh, now I’m craving chocolate! *looks around the house for chocolate*

  9. Haven’t TP’d anyone’s yard either but my FAVORITE Halloween candy would have to be a few, KIT-KATS are a must, Reese’s pretty much any form, and Almond Joy’s lol for some reason these are the only ones that make me happy lol or pretty much anything white chocolate 🙂

  10. I love anything with chocolate or peanut butter, so chocolate + peanut butter in the form of peanut butter M&Ms is my absolute fave. 🙂

    1. (might also help if I included the answer to the question. :P) My favorite has to be Reece’s, specifically the giant ones with extra peanut butter.

  11. Any kind of Chocolate! That is the great part of having a young kid they can’t eat a lot of the candy but momma can.

  12. We don’t have special Halloween candy in my country, but when I was in Ireland last year there were purple-black colored sour bats! It was awesome ^^

  13. I’m not much of a candy eater, but if I see cinnamon disks, I HAVE to have one…or two.

  14. No one gives it out at Halloween, but i adore Skor bars. Frozen is the best as they crack apart in perfectly bite-sized pieces. The chocolate around them melts first and the inside toffee takes at least a minute to warm up and dissolve on your tongue…If you can wait that long. Otherwise you crack it in between your teeth for the buttery heathbar taste.

btw-your book seems accurate to the musings and reactions of a girl dealing with the reality of a life-threatening event. My cousin was in and out of hospitals for years and it feels similar, just from the description and awesome book trailer.

  15. SKITTLES!!!
I have this tradition to always eat Skittles when I go see a movie in theaters! XD
I have no idea how it started…

  16. Favorite candy must be Kinderegg. <3 hih. Love those 😀 Thank you for this perfect giveaway. <3 *Finger crossed.* Also, hoping it is international 🙂
    Love, Carina

  17. Favorite candy — caramels!!! I much prefer them over chocolate (and anything else candy-wise).

Thank you so much for the extra giveaway, it’s one of the best ones!!! 😀

  18. My favorite candy is snickers! They are so yummy! And i’ve totally TP’d someones house which was fun!

  19. Hershey’s Almond, Cookies and Cream, Dark Chocolate are my faves! <3

    Thanks for this extra giveaway!

  20. That’s like asking which child is my favorite! I can’t pick just one! I have to go with Reese’s Peanut Butter cups, Twizzlers, Twix, and Airheads.
    Thanks for the giveaway 🙂

  21. I have loved caramel apple pops so much since I first tasted them six years ago. Alas, I haven’t found them this year 🙁
